SAVING GRACE

I know LORD that I am not perfect
And haven’t always done things right,
I have sinned like any other
Which in turn placed me in plight.

It wasn’t me that chose you LORD
As I rarely gave you thought,
But your eyes were watching over me
With a love that can’t be bought.

You placed me in the book of life
Even before I was conceived,
So I know that you chose me LORD
Long before I ever believed.

Then through a crisis in my life
I kneeled and began to pray,
It was then you came into my life
Oh what a glorious day.

I’ll never forget how wretched I felt
When I looked up to seek thy face,
My burdens were then lifted from me,
What love what saving grace.

My trials and troubles continue,
But it’s different for JESUS is there,
It is then that I hand Him my burdens
He’s my Saviour, He’s just and He’s fair.

So if you see suffering around you
Don’t blame GOD for the suffering you see,
For our Saviour also suffered
Do you think yourself greater than He?

He suffered and died nailed to a cross
Yes, He died for the human race,
He died for the wrongs we’ve committed
What love what saving grace?
