THE CREATOR

As we walk the path of life
And things are going fine.
We often forget the Creator
Who was there at the beginning of time.

It was He who created the heavens and earth
The sun the moon and the stars.
And placed them in the heavens
Along with Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars.

He also created the creatures,
That lives in the depths of the seas.
The birds that fly in the sky above
That one sees drifting on the breeze.

Then He created the beast of the field
Plus, insects that crawl and have wings.
He even dressed the face of the earth
With an array of beautiful things.

Then the Creator looked around
At what He had talked into being.
He could see that things looked good,
A joy to the eye and worth seeing.

Man was formed from the dust of the earth
Made in God’s image was he.
Then man received the breath of life
A living being he was to be.

Then God took a rib from the side of man
And gave to him a wife.
A woman to love and cherish
And honour all his life.

A person who is part of him,
Individuals yet joined by love.
Two persons joined in marriage,
Created by our God above.
